About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, bilingual Billing Specialist to manage our dental billing processes and insurance claims. This role is central to keeping patient accounts accurate and our billing operations running smoothly in a fast-paced clinic environment. Key Responsibilities

• Manage billing processes and insurance claims from start to finish

• Accurately process, submit, and coordinate primary and secondary dental insurance claims

• Create and review claims before submission

• Submit claims through the appropriate channels and track their status

• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims, appeals, denials, and rejections

• Submit claim corrections and adjustments promptly

• Navigate state-specific Medicaid billing guidelines and write-off protocols

• Follow up on patient accounts and outstanding payments

• Assist with monthly payment questions, updates, and changes

• Create billing and insurance reports

• Gather insurance information from new and existing patients

• Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations

• Assist with other billing-related responsibilities as needed

Key Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Proficient in Open Dental software preferably not required

• Proficiency with Google Workspace and general computer/software applications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong collection and follow-up skills

• Critical thinking skills for handling complex claim situations

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask at a high level

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strict attention to detail and data integrity across patient accounts

• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines

• Positive attitude and strong team player mindset

• Professionalism in a fast-paced environment
